What's Your Sign?

I was thinking the other day about my favorite road sign: The Neighborhood Watch sign. The one with the shifty little trenchcoat dude on it.

Yeah. That one.
This sign is my favorite because that little "suspicious person" is just so durn cute. I love that guy! Also, it's funny cause it gets the idea of a neighborhood watch across in such a bizarre way. If it were just the picture, I'm pretty sure most of us would assume it was a "No Shady Characters" sign, like unto the "No Pets" or "No Skateboarding" signs that one sees from time to time. And it's much better than that boring old eyeball on some of the other neighborhood watch signs. I fill with joy every time I see this thing.

And... then I got to wondering if I'm the only one who consciously has a favorite road sign, cause, y'know... that's really weird... So, readers, tell me; do you have a favorite sign? Why is it so awesome? Am I the only one who actually thinks about this kind of crap?

I guess that even if I am the only one, it's all good. Most things are hilarious if you think too hard about them (which I usually do.) Y'all are seriously missing out.

Haha, this made me think of a great quote:

I have a suggestion that I think would help fight serious crime. Signs. There are lots of signs for minor infractions: No Smoking, Stay Off the Grass, Keep Out, and they seem to work fairly well. I think we should also have signs for major crimes: Murder Strictly Prohibited, NO Raping People, Thank You for Not Kidnapping Anyone. It's certainly worth a try. I'm convinced Watergate would never have happened if there had just been a sign in the Oval Office that said, Malfeasance of Office Is Strictly Against the Law, or Thank You for Not Undermining the Constitution.

My favorite road sign is the one I drive past when I come home from your house. It's just a normal STOP sign, but some awesome person vandalized it, so now it reads

STOP
VOLDEMORT

Yeah. Cool.

I agree with Jessi. I LOVE that Stop sign. In fact, I was going to say that it was MY favorite sign. *shakes fist in her general direction*
I do however love Stop signs in general, if only because they are so easily vandalized. Another one I've seen recently read:
Don't
STOP
Believin'!

It was truly epic.
Another sign I like, that isn't particularly local is one that used to be just before the entrance to Sardine Canyon in Brigham City area. It was a "Deer X-ing" sign with a lovely painted deer on it. However, it wasn't your ordinary "Deer X-ing" sign. Someone had glued one of those red bike reflectors directly on top of the deer's nose. So it looked like Rudolph. I loved that sign like it was my own. ;)

Also, Tay is awesome for putting up that quote. Signs like that should be posted all over the world. We should get together and manufacture them for the good of mankind.

Sorry for my wordiness.
The End.

My favorite sign is the walking man sign. The electronic one when pedestrian's cross at an intersection. It looks like that sasquatch picture, the one where sasquatch is walking through the woods and looking towards the camera. I also like the little green man. This is a chartrusse little man that gets set up in the center of crosswalks, usually in front of a school. My brother stole one of these once. But he returned it.

I also like the neighborhood watch sign. Also, I think a sign with an eye on it would only tell me that that neighborhood is under the rule of Sauron. Otherwise, I like the person crossing signs in my neighborhood (the ones with man walking across a sidewalk) because they all have circles around their waists. I don't know if the circles are supposed to be there or if they indicate both way crossings or of they're vandalisms, but they make all of the crossing men look like they're hula-hooping. My favorite stop sign was vandalized thus:
STOP!
Hammertime!

I think my favorite is the personified electricity shocking a random bystander.
Though I think vandals have the most fun with stop signs. http://farmgirlsworld.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/hazardous-voltage.jpg

My favorite sign is the SLOW children at play, because it's always good to know when you come into the dumb section of the neighborhood.

My favorite sign is the "slow children at play" sign. The reason why I love it so much is because it is right in front of Breanna's house and we always joked about it. Good times. :D

Hehe... the voltage sign... There's one of those on the big green dumb power box in my front yard. I love that little guy.
